Now you're getting somewhere
Nice to see some pay off after the lackluster first installment.

Wow, it's like an even more boring David Lynch
Maybe it's because I myself am a fetishist, but I don't find this the slightest bit unsettling. This was fully deserving of it's initial obscurity. Maybe if there were some depth or conflict to it, or anything more than just a guy who is supposed to creep me out but instead just annoys me I also would join the huge fanbase.
But I guess I've seen worse animated stuff.
Pretty, Unique, and Amusing, but...
I wish you didn't have Sisyphus grunting so much. It got very annoying. I understand you're trying to better illustrate how much strain he has in pushing the boulder and such, but the grunts don't sound right. I mean, imagine how annoying Bitey would be if he constantly made noises like that.
But this is still in my personal top twenty flashes in terms of art and animation.
If only Tim Jones had narrated it
That is my only complaint. I'm sorry to be like this, but I feel his voice works better for this sort of thing. I can understand the desire to try new things and not have all the flashes sound the same, but I feel this experiment hurt this one.
Would have been a lot better without the opening
Your argument about the absurdity of God creating sinners only to damn them while still allegedly being a loving being is always a good question to ask the Christians, but the bit with the girl is not very well done and I'm sure people would be more open minded about this without it.
Listen to the commentary on this episode
If you have the dvd. Even if you are the type who hates commentary tracks, believe me, this one is worth the listen.
Neat
This is like how I would imagine an entertaining version of Broken Saints would work. Just enough mystery, nice if minimalist design. But I certainly hope there is more character development in subsequent episodes.
Just one problem with it.
I suppose if you read these, you've already had your fill of proause over how great the style and music is. But I would have taken out the woman's mean comments. They're kind of a dead giveaway where this was going.
I don't care how popular it is
It's a lame, one note flash that hurts my eyes just to look at it.
Here is my attempt at constructive criticism: the joke shouldn't be that he just is destroying everything, because that gets old after ten seconds. The joke should be how people react to it. Everyone reacts pretty much the same way here: stunned disbelief. How bout mixing it up by, for example, having another guy trying to fix things, but doing a weak job. Or having an accountant or someone engage him in a fight where they use office equipment. Okay, my ideas are shit, I admit, but you know what I mean, and I've only had thirty seconds to think about them.
That's my review, take it or leave it.
Utterly Perfect
The good music, the graphics, the use of shadow, the suspense, the showing of JUST enough that you get curious as hell without any easy answers being provided, it's all at least good for a 9. But the thing that pushed it into a 10 was the sound of that iron lung that played under it, revealing but not stating it is a girl in a coma. Just imagine spending years in a nightmare!
